James Wan will swim deep into the ocean alongside Jason Momoa in the new film ‘Aquaman’….
James Wan — best known for directing the recent billion dollar feature ‘Furious 7’ as well as ‘Saw’ and ‘The Conjuring’ — has officially signed on to helm the upcoming ‘Aquaman’ movie from Warner Bros. ‘Aquaman’ will star ‘Game of Thrones’ favorite Jason Momoa in the lead role as a reluctant underwater king who has to balance his time and loyalties between the surface and the depths of the ocean. ‘Aquaman’ is set to land in theaters on July 27, 2018. First things first, Momoa will appear as Aquaman in next year’s ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ ahead of his own feature film as well as plans in place for a massive Justice League movie planned for the future. In addition to ‘Aquaman’, Wan also scored the directing gig for the upcoming Sony live action version of ‘Robotech’ that’s in early development at the studio as well. It’s a good day to be James Wan.
