Stephen Amell must really enjoy the color green because he’s going from ‘Arrow’ to a new starring role in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’…
Stephen Amell — best known for his work on the hit CW series ‘Arrow’ — has landed a leading role in the upcoming sequel ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ from Paramount and Platinum Dunes.
Amell will play hockey mask wearing friend of the Turtles — Casey Jones — who is also a love interest for April O’Neil, who is played by Megan Fox.
Casey Jones was a popular figure in several different interpretations of the Turtles over the years including the 1980’s cartoon as well as the live action film when the character was played by Elias Koteas.
Amell further cemented the casting with a message released on Twitter on Wednesday.

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ is expected to open in theaters in 2016.
