The upcoming crossover on The CW between Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will be the biggest one yet…
With October just around the corner, writers and producers behind The CW’s slate of superhero shows — ‘Arrow’, ‘The Flash’, ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ — are starting to put together the puzzle pieces on the most ambitious crossover in the history of the network.
Ever since The CW added ‘The Flash’ as a second superhero series on the network, crossovers have been a staple between the shows and now with four DC titles all airing simultaneously, there’s something big brewing this year.
While it’s still early in the process, executive producer Greg Berlanti gave a few details about the upcoming crossover episode — most notably that there will only be one villain plaguing all four shows at the same time.
“I’m going to probably try to have one unifying threat, as opposed to different things on different ones, which is what the first year was,” Berlanti said.
Who could that threat be?
There have been a ton of rumors that the events that took place in ‘The Flash’ season finale where Barry traveled back in time and stopped his mother from being murdered, which set of a chain reaction known as ‘Flashpoint’ that it will have repercussions for ‘Arrow’, ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Legends of Tomorrow’ as well.
Whether or not that plays into the crossover remains to be seen but it looks like there will be one very big bad haunting all four series when they come together for the big event later this season.
Just as a reminder for debut dates for The CW series this year:
‘The Flash’ debuts Tuesday night, October 4
‘Arrow’ debuts Wednesday night, October 5
‘Supergirl’ debuts Monday, October 10
‘Legends of Tomorrow’ debuts Thursday, October 13
