Warner Bros. and Guy Ritchie are moving full steam ahead on the new ‘King Arthur’ movies, which are expected to spawn several sequels before the series is over, and now they’ve found their leading lady.
Astrid Berges-Frisbey — a relative newcomer who starred in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ — has landed the part of Lady Guinevere in the upcoming film.
She will star opposite ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actor Charlie Hunnam, who will play Arthur in the ambitious project slated to kick off filming in 2015.
The first movie of the series is expected to follow Arthur in his younger days as he ascends to the throne. Idris Elba will also star in the upcoming film as Arthur’s best friend Bedivere.
