In one of the most inspirational stories you’ll ever see, the Make-A-Wish Foundation helped one little boy’s dream come true because all he wanted to do was be Batman for a day….

It’s hard to imagine any five year old child going through a serious illness much less battling leukemia from the time they are 20 months old, but that’s exactly what a young boy named Miles has lived with since he was a baby.

With his cancer currently in remission, Miles’ dream in life was to be Batman so on Friday the entire city of San Francisco transformed itself into Gotham City with thousands upon thousands of onlookers joining in to cheer on Miles as he helped save the day.

The adventure started with Miles rescuing a hostage of The Riddler, who was tied to train tracks and needed Batkid’s assistance to break free. From there Batkid helped stop the Riddler and put him in jail before he hopped in his Batmobile (and yes, he had his own Batmobile) where he had to rush off and stop The Penguin who had just kidnapped the San Francisco Giants mascot Lou Seal.

Batkid once again saved the day and rescued the furry mascot before being given a key to the city by the mayor of San Francisco.

Even President Barack Obama got in on the action and thanked Batkid for heroically saving the day.

It had to be one of the sweetest gestures and grandest adventures a kid ever got to live and if the story doesn’t bring a tear to your eye (mine are swollen, red and tear filled right now) then nothing will!

All hail Batkid!!

Cutest and sweetest superhero Gotham has ever seen! We love you #SFBatkid! pic.twitter.com/KtLt8Azoxq
