The ‘Big Bang Theory’ will return for season 8 on a new night with a special one hour episode kicking off the year….
With CBS securing the rights for Thursday night NFL football this year, it meant their normal block of programming that night would have to shift — including the No. 1 comedy in America, ‘The Big Bang Theory’.
The popular geek-fest will return on Monday nights this season with the kick off taking place on September 22 on CBS.
The new season will get a one-hour special block of episodes for the season debut leading into the new series from CBS titled ‘Scorpion’.
The one hour, back-to-back episodes of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ will kick off at 8pm ET/PT leading to Scorpion at 9pm and then the season finale of ‘Under the Dome’ at 10pm on Sept 22.
‘The Big Bang Theory’ will shift back to Thursday nights starting on October 30 following the conclusion of the NFL run of games on CBS.
