Oz Perkins — son of legendary ‘Psycho’ star Anthony Perkins — has been waiting to debut his first film titled ‘The Blackcoat’s Daughter’ for a long time but now the movie finally has a trailer and a release date.
‘The Blackcoat’s Daughter’ will finally hit theaters and on demand on March 31.
Originally titled ‘February’, ‘The Blackcoat’s Daughter’ tells the story of two girls named Kat (Kiernan Shipka) and Rose (Lucy Boynton), who are left alone at a boarding school after their parents mysteriously fail to pick them up. At the same time, a girl named Joan (Emma Roberts) is on a mission to get to the boarding school for unknown reasons but the closer she gets, Kat starts experiencing haunting and dark visions.
If that all sounds a bit vague, don’t worry — it’s supposed to be that way.
Given the critical reaction ‘The Blackcoat’s Daughter’ first received after debuting at a film festival last year, this could be one of the most interesting horror releases in 2017.
