Following hints and rumors at the close of ‘Better Call Saul’ season 2, it’s now been confirmed that Giancarlo Esposito will reprise his role as Gus Fring for the third season of the show debuting on AMC in the Spring.
Esposito confirmed the news via Twitter on Wednesday along with a video teaser of his return.

Esposito portrayed Gus Fring for several seasons on ‘Breaking Bad’ where he played a restaurant owner and philanthropist in the public eye as he secretly ran one of the biggest drug rings in the world while employing Walwter White as one of his main assets.
The relationship between Gus and Walter eventually soured and it led to his death in one of the most famous scenes in ‘Breaking Bad’ history.
Now Gus will come back to life as we find out how he first got connected to professional fixer Mike Ehrmantraut, after he had a run in with Hector ‘Tio’ Salamanca during ‘Better Call Saul’ season 2. On ‘Breaking Bad’, Gus and Hector were longtime enemies and that bitter relationship will undoubtedly be further explored during the season.
‘Better Call Saul’ returns with new episodes this Spring on AMC.
