‘Star Wars’ actress Carrie Fisher was rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles on Friday after suffering a heart attack on a plane en route from London…
Carrie Fisher — best known for her role as Princess Leia in four ‘Star Wars’ films — suffered a cardiac event on Friday during her flight from London to Los Angeles before being rushed to a local area hospital after the plane plane landed at LAX.
According to Fisher’s brother Todd Fisher, who spoke to CNN, the actress is currently in intensive care after she received CPR on the flight before paramedics could rush her to the hospital minutes after the plane touched down.
Fisher apparently fell ill towards the end of the 11 hour flight from London to Los Angeles when fellow passengers helped to give her treatment until the plane could land and emergency personnel arrive.
Fisher was rushed to a local area hospital where she remains tonight.
Many of Fisher’s cast mates from ‘Star Wars’ sent out messages of support after news broke that she had suffered the cardiac event that put her into the hospital on Friday.
