Here’s your casting round up for Monday, July 27, 2015….
— Rachel McAdams is reportedly in negotiations to join Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ in the lead female role opposite Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Stephen Strange in the upcoming movie. Talks are in the early going so no offer has been made as of yet, but McAdams — who is currently KILLING it on HBO’s ‘True Detective’ — appears to be the front runner to land the part.
Who McAdams would be playing is still a mystery but look for a confirmation from Marvel on this story in the coming days.
— Lance Gross — best known for his work on ‘House of Payne’ and the upcoming TV movie ‘Warrior’ — has been tapped to play FBI agent Daniel Reynolds in season 3 of ‘Sleepy Hollow’. Reynolds is expected to be the new boss for Detective Abbie Mills in the revamped season of the once thriving show. Gross steps in to play boss after Orlando Jones exited the series following the end of season 2.
— Andrew Howard — best known as playing Emma’s dad on ‘Bates Motel’ — has landed a recurring role on Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.LD.’ season 3 playing Banks — “an authoritative and intimidating agent.”
— Josh Duhamel — best known for his work on the ‘Transformers’ movies — joins ’11/22/63′ — the adaptation of the Stephen King novel where a high school teacher named Jake Epping travels back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination on Hulu — playing Frank Dunning — “the rakish town butcher, a ladies’ man with an effortless smile that everyone welcomes — except Jake, the only man who knows the full violence of which Frank is capable”
