Despite rumors that would have him wielding a green ring, Chris Pine is officially ready to co-star in ‘Wonder Woman’….
Chris Pine is busy filming the third installment in the rebooted Star Trek universe — titled ‘Star Trek Beyond’ — but following that movie he will move over to Warner Bros. where he will officially join ‘Wonder Woman’ alongside Gal Gadot.
Rumors have been swirling for months that Pine was in line to play a major role in the DC film universe with his name attached to both the ‘Wonder Woman’ film being directed by Patty Jenkins as well as the upcoming ‘Green Lantern Corps’ film.
It seems set in stone now that Pine will officially join the cast of ‘Wonder Woman’ where he will star as long time love interest and military man Steve Trevor.
Pine’s character will first appear in ‘Wonder Woman’, while the title character played by Gadot will make her first appearance in ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ due out in 2016.
‘Wonder Woman’ will begin filming late this year/early next year with a June 23, 2017 release date from Warner Bros.
