‘The Walking Dead’ universe is expanding with a brand new series set in the same zombie apocalypse world as the main show currently tearing up the ratings every Sunday night at 9pm ET.
The spinoff series currently titled “The Walking Dead: Cobalt” has now found it’s own Rick Grimes.
Cliff Curtis — best known for his roles in films such as ‘Training Day’ and “Live Free or Die hard” — has landed the lead role in the new Walking Dead series according to Deadline.
Curtis will play a divorced school teacher who tries to do right by everyone in his life while surviving the perils of a world gone wrong in ‘The Walking Dead’.
He joins Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey, who were also just recently cast in the new Walking Dead series.
