After months of speculation, Colin Farrell has indeed confirmed that he will play a role in True Detective season 2…
While HBO and creator Nic Pizzolatto remain secretive about the upcoming second season of True Detective it appears one of the leading men from the series is talking finally.
Colin Farrell, long rumored to be one of the four leads on the upcoming season, confirmed to Irish paper Sunday World that he will indeed be starring in the show.
“I’m doing the second series,” Farrell said. “I’m so excited. I know it will be eight episodes and take around four or five months to shoot.”
The new season of True Detective is set in California amidst an investigation when a corrupt city manager is murdered while a major transportation deal for his city is getting locked down. Farrell is expected to play one of the lead detectives investigating the crime.
True Detective season 2 was originally set to start filming in September although it appears as of now that plan has been pushed back slightly. The show is expected to debut in the summer of 2015.
