Now that Supergirl has officially joined the CW, the network is planning a massive crossover event with all four of their DC superhero based series…
It looks like the CW will waste no time in crossing over all four of their superhero series after adding Supergirl to the lineup following the show shifting to the network from CBS a season ago.
The planned crossover event involving Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow will happen next season with all four series running simultaneously on the network.
“Next season, Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and now Supergirl will join forces in our annual crossover event, our biggest ever,” CW chief Mark Pedowitz said this week.
The CW has been hugely successful with their previous three series crossing over with each other in the past. The Flash got its start after Barry Allen made his first appearance on Arrow. Then the Legends of Tomorrow sprung up on Arrow as well with a major crossover event with The Flash just recently during season 2 before that series launched on the CW as well.
The Flash then crossed over to Supergirl on CBS last season, which set up the possibility for even more big events in the future.
Now with all four shows on the same network, the possibilities are endless.
All of actors and actresses on the shows seemed very happy with the chance to play around with a major story that will connect the four series in the near future.
The CW also released its new lineup for the fall with Supergirl now joining the rest of the shows on the network:
Monday
8pm — Supergirl
9pm — Jane the Virgin
Tuesday

Wednesday

The CW will also have several mid-season premieres stuck in their lineup as well like Riverdale — the upcoming show that’s based in the world of Archie comics with a modern and very dark twist.
