Daredevil has officially been renewed for season 3 on Netflix as announced by Marvel television chief Jeph Loeb during the Luke Cage panel at San Diego Comic Con on Thursday.
Daredevil was the first Marvel series to launch on Netflix as part of a new slate of shows for the subscription based service and the first two seasons have been met with critical and commercial success.
The most recent season of Daredevil introduced Jon Bernthal as The Punisher to rave reviews and now he’s getting his own spinoff series on Netflix as well.
There was no debut date for Daredevil season 3, but Marvel also announced that The Defenders — the super group series combining Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist — will debut in 2017.
