Dissecting the Final ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ Trailer: Oscorp is Behind Everything

The final trailer for ‘Amazing Spider-Man 2’ has landed just about six weeks out from the film’s release date and we’re going to break down some of the key points that you might notice in the two-minutes plus of the footage…

There are a few key scenes to take note of during the trailer, and while a lot of it has already been divulged in the past there are a few new moments to pay attention to in the footage.

— Peter Parker and Harry Osborn were friends or at least knew each other at some point, despite there being no recollection of this in the first Amazing Spider-Man movie

— Andrew Garfield has the biggest hair since Aquanet was a thing in the 1980’s.

— Oscorp is apparently behind all of the villains in the Spider-Man universe. In one cutaway seen below you can clearly see Dr. Octopus’ arms and the Vulture’s wings

— Harry Osborn teams up with Electro to take down Spider-Man (this sounds familiar)

— There is an iconic moment of Spider-Man catching Gwen Stacy in midair as she falls to the ground. It’s already been speculated that this will set up the battle between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin in the third movie of the series as a call back to one of the most famous moments in comic book history — the death of Gwen Stacy

— Spider-Man and Green Goblin go to battle at least once during the movie, but how much this plays into the bigger picture is unknown. It seems the movie will be filled to the brim with Spider-Man villains, but hopefully it won’t end up like the god awful Spider-Man 3 from a few years ago.
