The new Fear the Walking Dead series titled Flight 462 officially launches on October 4….
As previously announced, Fear the Walking Dead will roll out a special feature playing online as well as during commercial breaks throughout season 6 of The Walking Dead following a group of passengers on a plane, who are forced to deal with an infected traveler turning mid-flight.
The debut will happen online on October 4 on AMC.com and then get broken up into two promos — each at a minute or less — airing during commercial breaks during the season 6 premiere of The Walking Dead on Oct. 11.
The series will run for 16 total episodes with at least one surviving member of the flight moving on to join Fear the Walking Dead in season 2.
“Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 tells the story of a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during the earliest moments of the outbreak. Over the course of the series, the plane and the lives of its passengers are put in jeopardy once they discover an infected traveler. The series is written by L. Signorino and Mike Zunic and directed by Fear director of photography Michael McDonough.”
Fear the Walking Dead will wrap up its freshman season this Sunday night before returning with a 15-episode second season in 2016.
