May the force be with you, JJ Abrams! The first day of filming for ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ officially took place on Thursday with the cast and crew gathered in London….
To say there’s an excitement in the air about ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ might just be the biggest understatement ever. With everything even remotely attached to the movie serving as rumor, fodder and interest, it’s safe to say the JJ Abrams led project will get plenty of attention over the next several months while filming is going on as it all leads to the December 18, 2015 release date.
On Thursday, Abrams’ movie company ‘Bad Robot’ released the first still from the movie set, confirming that filming has gotten underway with the cast and crew in London.

Many of the original cast members from the ‘Star Wars’ trilogy are back for this new movie including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill. Joining them will be newcomers Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley among others. Abrams teased recently that there would be more major cast members added to the film, but no announcements have been made as of yet.
