Get a first look at the action from “Banshee” season 3 where Lucas Hood learns that some sins never wash away….

Banshee fans can now set their calendars accordingly.
The third season of the hit Cinemax series will debut on January 9, 2015 at 10PM ET. Lucas Hood, the ex-con/master thief who has assumed the identity of a dead sheriff, will once again be mired in trouble and near-death experiences in the small Amish town in Pennsylvania.
Cinemax has just released the first trailer for the upcoming third installment of the series, and from the looks of it you can expect what #Fanshees have been accustomed to since season one: sex, blood and violence.
In the 90-second teaser clip, Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) seems to have his hands full once again. “I’ve been in tighter spots than this. I’m still here,” he says.
Hood can be seen being getting dangled out of a speeding tractor trailer, loading a table full of guns, and squaring off in a rematch with the gigantic Native American, Chayton Littlestone (Geno Seggers)—who is promising war since Chief Longshadow was killed last season. Nola Longshadow, who Hood has tangled with and bedded last season, is briefly shown too and will surely be headed headed his away once again.
The Sheriff’s budding romance last season, Deputy Siobhan Kelly, holds a gun to his face and seems to be realizing Hood is not the man she thinks he is. He also gets held down and tortured by Kai Proctor’s crony, Clay Burton (Mathew Rauch) and tells his old flame Carrie (Ivana Milicevic) he has “made a huge mess.”
That’s not all.
Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen) is shown walking out of a wall of flames. His niece Rebecca (Lili Simmons) has now gone full-blow outlaw, and ignites a flame to blow up a truck. Hood’s ally and mentor Sugar Bates (Frankie Faison) can be seen dusting off his boxing skills and knocking an armed officer out. His other buddy Job (Hoon Lee), who often brings moments of levity to the show, is wielding a sub-machine gun and letting it rip and The Cadillac (the Sheriff’s Department) gets riddled with bullets.
So, you know, pretty typical action for Hood and the world around him.
Looks as if things will be as interesting as they have been the last two seasons. Hood will be juggling Proctor, Littlestone and the Red Bones gang, his relationship with Siobhan and old flame Carrie, while continuing to try and keep his true identity hidden.
