The first poster for ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 has been revealed…
‘Game of Thrones’ is based on the original works of author George R.R. Martin and his series ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ and that certainly seems to be the theme of the first poster teasing season 7 coming this summer.
The poster that was revealed ahead of the SXSW Festival shows a wall of ice with fire lurking in the cracks and crevasses, clearly a teaser for the upcoming battles during the final two seasons of ‘Game of Thrones’.
From the fire comes Daenerys Targaryen, who was sailing across the sea on her way back to Westeros at the end of season 6, with an army at her back filled with the Unsullied and thousands of Dothraki warriors who will fight for their queen to reclaim the Iron Throne in her name.
From the ice comes the Night King, who will lead his army of the dead from beyond the Wall south to conquer the living and it’s going to take all of mankind to stop him.
Needless to say, the poster is saying a lot without saying anything at all.
As of now, there’s still no exact date on when ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 will debut but the show will return in summer 2017 with seven episodes on HBO.
