New photos from the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ episode 5 have been released teasing the upcoming battle for the Iron Throne…
There are only two episodes remaining before ‘Game of Thrones’ comes to an end and the latest photos released tease a battle brewing between Daenerys Targaryen and Cersei Lannister to see who will ultimately sit on the Iron Throne.
Last week saw Daenerys suffer major losses after another of her dragons was killed as she flew home to Dragonstone and she then watched her best friend and most trusted advisor Missandei being decapitated as a prisoner of war.
Judging by the photos released ahead of the penultimate episode, Daenerys and her troops are in turmoil ahead of the biggest battle of their lives. She’s fighting on all sides because Daenerys also knows that Jon Snow holds a stronger claim to the Iron Throne and behind her back support is quietly building towards putting him into power instead of her.
Meanwhile, Daenerys’ general Grey Worm is obviously in pain after watching Missandei die last week and it’s his job to lead the soldiers into battle as this fight is about to begin.
And then there’s Cersei, looking as smug and satisfied as ever, as she prepares to unleash her soldiers — including 20,000 men from the Golden Company — into the field to stamp out the dragon queen once and for all.
