Do the Time Lords know what Valar Morghulis means? We might find out because ‘Game of Thrones’ star Maisie Williams is coming to ‘Doctor Who’ season 9…
Maisie Williams — best known for playing Arya Stark in ‘Game of Thrones’ — is taking a trip from Westeros to the TARDIS for an upcoming guest spot on the BBC series ‘Doctor Who’.
Williams just finished up a worldwide tour to promote ‘Game of Thrones’ season 5, which debuts on April 12, and she’s already on set filming her part in the upcoming season of ‘Doctor Who’.
“I’m so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture,” Williams said. “I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”
Williams’ part in the upcoming season of ‘Doctor Who’ is still under wraps, but executive producer and show runner Steven Moffat promises the ‘Game of Thrones’ star will definitely have a major part to play in her story.
“We’re thrilled to have Maisie Williams joining us on Doctor Who,” Moffat said. “It’s not possible to say too much about who or what she’s playing, but she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways. This time he might just be out of his depth, and we know Maisie is going to give him exactly the right sort of hell.”
‘Doctor Who’ returns to the BBC this fall.
