Game of Thrones has officially been renewed for season 7 but how many episodes will take place?
To absolutely no one’s surprise, Game of Thrones has officially been renewed for season 7 on HBO.
The hit series is the biggest show in HBO history, surpassing The Sopranos in total viewers each and every week over multiple platforms.
The question now becomes how many episodes will take place during season 7?
Game of Thrones show runners David Benioff and Dan Weiss have hinted that they have a finite number of episodes left in the series, hovering around 13 hours after season six comes to a close.
Now that number is still speculative because HBO hasn’t weighed in yet on the final order to close out Game of Thrones.
Season seven 7 could be a smaller order like seven or eight episodes or HBO could go ahead and order 10 episodes and do a shortened final season in 2018.
Right now, nothing is set in stone but what we do know is Game of Thrones will definitely be back in 2017.
