A new behind the scenes video looking at Game of Thrones season 6 actually ends up giving us a better look at what’s ahead than anything we’ve seen yet….
The new Game of Thrones season 6 behind the scenes video was released this week that was really about the camera operators and crew, who are responsible for the look and feel of every episode but coincidentally or not, there were also quite a few clues given during some of the brief glimpses from shots throughout the five minute feature.
Take a look at some of the shots we captured throughout the video and then watch the full feature below:
These two shots show Daenerys Targaryen still at the mercy of the Dothraki horde she ran into at the tail end of last season, but according to this article from Vanity Fair, the rumor is that Dany will actually add these warriors to her growing army. According to the story, the rumor is Daenerys survives a bath of dragon fire from Drogon that not only shows that she’s still the unburnt but the Dothraki are now worshippers of her powers.
That could mean really bad news for the ruling family in Westeros.
Here we see Melisandre at Castle Black and there was a very brief glimpse just before this shot where it appears she’s having a conversation with Ser Davos. Remember, she ordered Stannis’ daughter Shireen burned at the stake as a sacrifice to the Lord of Light last season while Ser Davos was sent on a mission to ensure he wouldn’t interfere.
When he returns to Castle Black, Melisandre has also found her way there after Stannis’ army was defeated and he was killed along with his daughter.
This seems to be a scene back at Winterfell but if you notice there’s a Stark banner hanging in the background. That means this might just be a flashback scene or something Bran sees in one of his visions.
Speaking of Bran, it looks like he’s headed back south after meeting the Three Eyed Raven because if you look closely, you’ll see this is Meera Reed, one of his traveling companions outdoors by a tree.
Finally you see what happens when someone dies inside the House of Black and White — their faces are taken and added to the growing columns now being used by the Faceless Men. It looks like from this scene, Jaqen H’ghar is about to take a new one for the collection.
Take a look at the full video below and see if you can spot anything else we might have missed! There’s even allegedly a scene that might give a hint to the return of Jon Snow as he’s rumored to battle the Boltons in Game of Thrones season 6.
