Take a look at what lies ahead in the next episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ titled ‘Eastwatch’….
The next episode of ‘Game of Thrones’ on Sunday night titled ‘Eastwatch’ will see the aftermath from Daenerys’ attack on the Lannister army as she looks to either add troops to her forces or bury even more men on the hillside.
The preview clip shows a vengeful Daenerys taking command as she looks to strike an even bigger blow at her enemies, which may cause some strife between the queen and her trusted advisors, Tyrion and Lord Varys.
Another interesting clip from the preview shows Daenerys riding on her dragon’s back as the great beast comes face to face with Jon Snow, who surprisingly doesn’t look frightened at that moment. If Jon is truly a Targaryen (his mother Lyanna Stark, his father Rhaegar Targaryen), it could explain the bond he might already have with the dragons. Targaryen’s were notoriously close with their dragons with each family member able to mount and ride the animals. If Jon has fire and blood in his veins, he might have a special relationship with Daenerys’ dragons that he doesn’t even know exists just yet.
Don’t forget, Daenerys named one of her dragons Rhaegal after her brother, who just so happens to be Jon’s father.
The title of the episode ‘Eastwatch’ is actually a reference to a castle named Eastwatch-By-The-Sea, manned by the Night’s Watch along the Wall where it appears the Night King will soon attack with his army of the dead. That’s the castle closest to Hardhome where Jon fought the army of the dead before escaping with the Wildlings to get back back behind the Wall for safety.
At the start of the season, Jon sent his friend Tormund Giantsbane and the Wildling army to man Eastwatch-By-the-Sea as a first line of defense if the army of the dead makes an advance on the Wall. Judging by the teaser for the latest episode, that might be coming sooner rather than later.
