When ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 debuts, battle lines will be drawn as Daenerys arrives in Westeros but who will oppose her?
One of the biggest unanswered questions left over from ‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 was the role of Euron Greyjoy in the upcoming war after he intended to take his fleet of ships to Meereen to team up with Daenerys Targaryen and her three dragons to take back the Iron Throne
Unfortunately for Euron, his niece and nephew Yara and Theon escaped the Iron Islands with most of the fleet and made a pact with the Dragon Queen instead, taking the option away from him all together.
Now according to new spoilers revealed as season 7 filming gets underway, Euron Greyjoy may play a major role in season 7 opposing Daenerys Targaryen instead of teaming up with her.
According to several online reports. Euron Greyjoy may team up with Cersei Lannister after he builds his thousand ships and they will become a formidable ally against Daenerys Targaryen and her arriving army bound for Westeros.
Now it makes sense that Euron would make an alliance with Cersei after his attempt to marry Daenerys (and give her his cock as a wedding present) has been spoiled so his next best option would be to team up with the new queen sitting on the Iron Throne.
Cersei will need a navy if she plans to stop Daenerys from invading Westeros from the sea and Euron may be her best chance to forge an alliance against the most powerful enemy she’s ever faced. There have even been some rumors that Euron and Cersei may pledge to get married although that’s still very much unconfirmed.
Another rumor involving Euron in season 7 says that he will engage in a great battle at sea with his niece and nephew and capture one of them during the fight. Considering Theon spent several seasons under lock and key while being tortured by Ramsay Bolton, it would seem to make sense that his sister Yara ends up a captive of her evil uncle.
And one final potential spoiler is that Euron will somehow kill one of the Sand Snakes — the bastard daughters of Oberyn Martell, who are pledged to take down the Lannisters and who are now teamed up with Daenerys and her army.
It certainly seems like ‘Game of Thrones’ season 7 will feature a lot of fighting and if Cersei hopes to hold onto her Iron Throne, she’s going to need somebody like Euron Greyjoy to help her keep it.
