Game of Thrones always puts an extra foot forward for episode 9 every season and according to Sophie Turner, season 6 is no different…
This Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones titled “The Battle of the Bastards” will feature the long awaited showdown between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton as their two armies clash for control of the north.
There have already been so many seminal moments this season including Jon Snow’s resurrection and his reunion with his sister Sansa Stark after the two of them hadn’t seen each other since the first episode of the first season.
Now that they are reunited, Jon and Sansa are resigned to taking back their home at Winterfell from the Boltons, who along with his father Roose betrayed their brother Robb and stole control of the North from the Stark family.
All of episode 9 this week on Game of Thrones will focus on the battle between Jon Snow’s forces and Ramsay Bolton’s army and Sophie Turner — who plays Sansa Stark — has already witnessed what’s about to unfold and she teases just how amazing this episode really will be.

Game of Thrones has always put together some of the greatest moments in the history of the show during episode 9 each season.
Season one featured Ned Stark’s beheading at the hands of King Joffrey, which was shocking to anybody who hadn’t read the books and watched the character touted as the lead killed off before the finale.
Season two featured the Battle of Blackwater Bay as Tyrion Lannister fought back against the invading forces from Stannis Baratheon and his army attempting to usurp the throne from Joffrey.
And of course season three featured the culmination of the Red Wedding as the Boltons and the Freys conspired with Tywin Lannister to put an end to the War of the Five Kings by betraying the King in the North Robb Stark while murdering him, his wife, his unborn child and his mother Catelyn Stark along with the majority of their forces outside.
So it’s hard to tell what might happen when Game of Thrones kicks off this week with “The Battle of the Bastards” but the entire hour is dedicated to the fight between Jon and Ramsay and when it’s over, only one will be left standing.
