It looks like Marvel’s Iron Fist has found its Danny Rand with Game of Thrones star Finn Jones expected to land the role…
Finn Jones — best known to most as Loras Tyrell on Game of Thrones — has reportedly been tapped as the lead role for the upcoming Marvel/Netflix series Iron Fist.
Iron Fist is the final solo series coming from Marvel after launching Daredevil, Jessica Jones and the upcoming Luke Cage show that will debut later this year.
Iron Fist tells the story of Danny Rand — who is a mystical martial arts master who possesses a powerful force known as Iron Fist. In the comic books, Iron Fist routinely teamed up with Luke Cage so it stands to reason that connection would be used again in the upcoming series but how close to the source material Marvel will choose to go with the mysticism aspect remains to be seen.
Marvel’s Iron Fist has been a topic of a lot of conversation over the last year because while all of the Marvel TV series on Netflix got off to a fast start, this one seemed to be lagging behind all the others.
Now with Jones reportedly set to star in the lead role it looks like Iron Fist is ready to get moving with a debut date in 2017 most likely.
