HBO has released details for the final three episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 including the season finale titled ‘The Children’…
A season of Game of Thrones feels impossibly short sometimes because here we are in mid-May and the fourth season is almost already at a close. With three more episodes to go, HBO has released episode synopses for each of the final weeks.
Remember, there is no new Game of Thrones episode this Sunday, May 25 due to Memorial Day being recognized, but the show returns on Sunday, June 1 with one of the most highly anticipated episodes as Tyrion’s fate is decided in a trial by combat pitting Ser Gregor Clegane aka ‘The Mountain’ versus Oberyn Martell.
Episode #38: “The Mountain and the Viper” — Debut: SUNDAY, JUNE 1 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT)
“Mole’s Town receives unexpected visitors. Littlefinger’s (Aidan Gillen) motives are questioned. Ramsay (Iwan Rhoen) attempts to prove himself to his father. Tyrion’s (Peter Dinklage) fate is decided.”
Episode #39: “The Watchers on the Wall” — Debut: SUNDAY, JUNE 8 (9:00-10:00 p.m.)
Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and the rest of the Night’s Watch face the biggest challenge to the Wall yet.
Episode #40: “The Children” (season finale) — Debut: SUNDAY, JUNE 15 (9:00-10:05 p.m.)
An unexpected arrival north of the Wall changes circumstances. Dany (Emilia Clarke) is forced to face harsh realities. Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) learns more of his destiny. Tyrion sees the truth of his situation.
Also interesting to note, all three of the final ‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 episodes will be written by show runners David Benioff and Dan Weiss.
