‘Gotham’ Preview: Has The Joker Finally Arrived in Town? (VIDEO)

The next episode of ‘Gotham’ will feature the introduction of The Flying Graysons as well as hints about the most iconic villain in Batman history debuting…

As ‘Gotham’ season one starts moving towards the final episodes of this freshman year, there are still more iconic characters set to debut including this week’s episode titled ‘Blind Fortune Teller’ where the Flying Graysons appear for the first time.

The Flying Graysons are the circus act family who are eventually the birth parents of Dick Grayson, who of course will one day become the first ever Robin.

But the most interesting teaser for this upcoming episode is the debut of Cameron Monaghan, who plays a young man with a sinister smile and a maniacal laugh that only seems like it could be possessed by one man.

The Joker

Now the producers behind ‘Gotham’ have long said that when The Joker finally appears on the show, they will make sure that it’s done with careful placement and handled with kid gloves because there’s not a Batman fan alive who doesn’t know the iconic clown prince of crime.

Executive Producer Bruno Heller told NerdcoreMovement.com back in July at San Diego Comic Con before the show even debuted that there had been discussion about The Joker debuting on the show, but it was a character they knew from the beginning who wouldn’t just show up in the early episodes without the show finding its footing first.

Now that ‘Gotham’ has officially been picked up for season two, it seems the creators behind the show can start to plan for the long game when it comes to any number of Batman characters — Joker included.

“We’ll be very careful because The Joker is the crown jewel of the Batman villains,” Heller said. “So we’re going to wait until we get the show up and running and we know what we’re doing. The thing with TV as opposed to movies, for a while a there you’re kind of juggling and seeing what stays in the air and what drops.

“Once we have a real sense of the show, what people are liking and what makes it work, then we’ll bring in The Joker but we’ll bring him in carefully.”

This latest promo for the upcoming episode of ‘Gotham’ airing Monday night at 8pm ET on FOX seems to be the perfect teaser for a young man who could one day become The Joker. All the signs are there, but then again a few characters have popped up this season that could have possibly been The Joker. So for now let the guessing games begin but see what you think of the promo below and see if this the boy who will become The Joker.
