A few new details have been released for ‘Gotham’ season 2 including a full time role for Harvey Dent and two new DC villains headed to town…
‘Gotham’ season 2 will pick up production this summer ahead of a Fall 2015 debut on FOX and we’ve got a few new details about the upcoming year ahead in the Batman prequel entering its sophomore campaign.
First up is some casting news.
Warner Bros. are seeking to find two new cast members to join the show for season 2 in villainous parts. The first will be a male DC villain (so somebody that’s already known in the DC Comics universe) who is described as “intelligent, cultured and highly articulate, extremely attractive, both seductive and threatening.”
The other part is for a female DC villain who is in her mid to late 20’s and a ‘sexy knockout’.
Any guesses who they might be?
Also actor Nicholas D’Agosto, who portrayed District Attorney Harvey Dent in season one of ‘Gotham’ is set to return to the show this Fall where he will be a full time player this time around.
The actor revealed the news via Twitter.
Thank you to all of you @Gotham and #HarveyDent fans for your enthusiasm. I can't wait to join more of the fun as a regular in Season 2!

D’Agusto’s character is a long ways off from becoming the maniacal Two-Face so chances are he’ll still be on Jim Gordon’s side when season 2 picks up this fall.
There has been no date announced just yet for the premiere of ‘Gotham’ season 2 but late September seems likely.
UPDATE:
Chris Chalk, who plays Bruce Wayne’s mentor Lucius Fox, has also been upped to a series regular for ‘Gotham’ season 2.
Chalk appeared in a single episode of ‘Gotham’ in season 1 as he disclosed to a young Bruce Wayne what kind of man his father was while intimating that there are bad things going on inside of Wayne Enterprises. It seems his role will definitely be important to Bruce’s development in season 2 as well.
