The long talked about ‘Blade Runner’ sequel is finally coming together with Harrison Ford set to return and reprise his original role…
The original ‘Blade Runner’ from 1982 is heralded as one of the greatest science fiction films of all time and after more than 30 years, Harrison Ford will reprise his role as Rick Deckard in the sequel from executive producer Ridley Scott.
Ford starred in the original film alongside Rutger Hauer, Sean Young and Edward James Olmos.
The new film will likely be directed by Denis Villenueve, who is best known for his work on the film ‘Prisoners’.
Ford stated in a previous interview that he had read the scrip to the ‘Blade Runner’ sequel and it was the ‘best thing he’s ever read’.
There have been no details released about the plot or the release date for the film, but now with Ford on board along with the director it sounds like the ‘Blade Runner’ sequel can finally get underway.
Ford can next be seen in another iconic role as he plays Han Solo for the first time since 1983 when he stars in ‘Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens’ landing in theaters on December 18.
