Harrison Ford will be a limping scruffy looking nerf herder after injuring his ankle on the set of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ today…
Harrison Ford, 71, had an unfortunate accident on the set of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ today when a door caught the actor’s leg and ended with him suffering a broken ankle in the process.
Ford is reprising his role as Han Solo in the upcoming sequel directed by J.J. Abrams, updating the original Star Wars trilogy, which finished in 1983 with ‘Return of the Jedi’.
Following the incident, representatives from Disney informed The Hollywood Reporter about the injury, but also said it will not affect shooting or Ford’s role in the film.
“Harrison Ford sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates.”
Star Wars: Episode VII will be released in theaters on December 18, 2015.
