Harry Potter lives again but this time it’s in a prequel called ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ and it’s going to be a play….
J.K. Rowling has plenty of material to continue her Harry Potter universe and while she’s not directly involved with the script, she will have a hand in the new prequel play called ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ that will play in London in the Summer of 2016.
The play is written by Jack Throne and directed by John Tiffany, who is a Tony Award winner for direction.
Rowling collaborated and supervised the script but did not directly work on the play that will showcase Harry Potter before he went to Hogwarts and explore his “early years as an orphan and outcast”.
The play may also feature his parents James and Lily Potter as well.
The play will debut at the Palace Theater in the West End of London in the Summer of 2016.
