In the spirit of Talking Dead, HBO has launched a new post show series for Game of Thrones called After the Thrones…
To build on the massive popularity of Game of Thrones as season 6 rapidly approaches on April 24, the network has announced a new post show called After the Thrones that will debut on Monday after each new episode airs.
The show will be launched as part of Bill Simmons’ new deal with HBO with former Grantland staffers Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan serving as hosts for the series that will be one part recap, one part humorous and one part sophisticated look at Game of Thrones each and every week throughout the season.
After the Thrones will debut on Monday on all the different HBO formats including HBO GO, HBO Now and HBO On Demand. After the Thrones will also appear on HBO television with times announced at a later date.
“Each week, AFTER THE THRONES will recap the latest episode, explaining the who, what, when and where, exploring the complicated politics and history of “Thrones,” and offering absurd and not-so-absurd theories about future episodes.”
After the Thrones will officially launch on April 25 following the debut of Game of Thrones on HBO.
