A lot has happened since Homeland season 4 came to an end and Carrie saw her mentor Saul teaming up with Dar Adal after a horrific series of events unfolded in Pakistan.
Now the series jumps forward a few years with Carrie out of the CIA and working private security for a billionaire while Saul is back entrenched in the agency working alongside Adal.
In the first trailer for Homeland season 5, it seems like the United States has been working on illegal surveillance with Germany and when the program is hacked and information gets leaked, all hell breaks loose.
But was Carrie involved with the hackers who caused the security breech?
