A new horror series based on the comic book Hack/Slash is in development….

By Taylor Young — NerdcoreMovement.com

Hack/Slash — a horror comic created by writer Tim Seeley — is being developed as a new TV series by Relativity Television with Skip Woods (Swordfish, Hitman) attached to pen the script for the pilot.

The comic follows the exploits of Cassie Hack — a survivor of an attack ripped straight out of the horror movies — who now hunts the monsters all over the world along with her disfigured friend Vlad.

Imagine the ‘slashers’ as Jason from Friday the 13th or Michael Myers from Halloween — except in this story Cassie and Vlad are seeking them out and killing them.

The comic has been well received critically and been in publication for a decade and while the project toiled away as a potential flim, this new push could see Hack/Slash finally end up on television.

The series is being introduced as a grittier, more graphic type of project similar to the hugely popular AMC adaptation of The Walking Dead.

If the series moves forward, then the studio will start talking to interested parties about landing on a potential network.
