AMC has officially renewed ‘Humans’ for a second season following rave reviews for the freshman campaign….
AMC’s latest science fiction offering ‘Humans’, which explores the relationship between humanity and a new breed of robots known as synths in a fresh take on the idea of man versus machine will officially return for season 2 after being renewed on Friday.
“We’re so pleased to announce a second season of Humans,” AMC/Sundance TV original programming president Joel Stillerman said in a press release. “As one of the year’s top new cable series, Humans has been embraced by fans and critics across the U.S. and UK. We’re looking forward to continuing this very captivating story and further exploring the show’s parallel, Synth-filled world that hits so disturbingly close to home.”
The popular new series, which also airs on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, will receive an eight episode second season that will debut in 2016.
‘Humans’ currently airs on AMC on Sunday nights at 9pm ET.
