It’s been 20 years since the original but the trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence is here….
Independence Day remains one of the most beloved summer blockbusters of all time and now 20 years later, the sequel is about to arrive and we’ve got the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence.
The film reunites most of the cast from the original movie including Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman and Vivica A. Fox. Will Smith did not return for the movie and it looks like his exit will be portrayed in the film as an off-screen death.
But just about everybody else is back and here’s the plot for Independence Day: Resurgence due out on June 24, 2016:
“We always knew they were coming back. After INDEPENDENCE DAY redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global spectacle on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction.”
