The chills will be running down your spine as you get a first look at Pennywise the Clown from the remake of Stephen King’s ‘It’….
There are few images as unsettling as Tim Curry dressed in full makeup when he played Pennywise the Clown in the classic adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘It’ and now the upcoming remake is taking a stab at the same character with Bill Skarsgard now taking over the role.
The photo revealed by EW on Wednesday shows Skarsgard wearing the signature clown paint that makes Pennywise such a terrifying character any time he’s on screen.
“It’s such an extreme character. Inhumane,” Skarsgård said. “It’s beyond even a sociopath, because he’s not even human. He’s not even a clown. I’m playing just one of the beings It creates.”
Director Andrés Muschietti is re-inventing ‘It’ for a new generation with the first part of the film due out on September 8 as a whole new audience will be terrified by Pennywise the Clown.
