Just about everyone is curious why Luke Skywalker hasn’t been seen in two Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers but J.J. Abrams confirms that’s not an accident….
The final Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer debuted just over a week ago and the Internet lost its collective mind watching a few new flashes and scenes ahead of the movie’s release on December 18.
But just like the first trailer released over the summer, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) was nowhere to be found outside of a brief cutaway to a hooded figure putting a robotic hand on R2-D2 with most people assuming that was the last surviving Jedi.
Now according to Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, all the questions about Luke’s appearance (or non-appearance as the case may be) isn’t a mistake but a very calculated move.
“These are good questions to be asking. I can’t wait for you to find out the answers,” Abrams said recently.
“It’s no accident (you haven’t seen Luke Skywalker yet)”
There have been more than a few theories launched as to why Luke Skywalker has been absent thus far including our own idea that maybe he did turn to the dark side just like his father.
There’s also a popular theory that Luke is missing and the search to find him is a major plot point in the upcoming movie.
Whatever the case may be, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will open in less than two months and then everybody can find out where Luke Skywalker has been hiding!
