Academy Award nominee James Franco will star in a limited series for Hulu based on the Stephen King book ’11/22/63’….
Hulu Originals will begin production soon on a nine part miniseries based on the Stephen King novel ’11/22/63′ about a man who discovers the ability to time travel as he goes back to stop the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
The series now has a star as well as Oscar nominee James Franco has signed on to star in the lead role for the show being produced by J.J. Abrams and his company Bad Robot.
Franco plays high school English teacher Jake Epping, who “travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald, his falling in love and the past itself … which doesn’t want to be changed.”
The book the show is based on is regarded as one of King’s best works in the last decade.
’11/22/63′ has already been ordered for a nine-episode run airing exclusively on Hulu with production on the series likely to begin later this year.
