Marvel’s Jessica Jones will officially return for season 2 at Netflix as revealed on Sunday ….
The most conflicted hero on the Marvel roster is officially back after Netflix announced on Sunday that Jessica Jones has been renewed for season 2 on the subscription based service.
Jessica Jones was a critical and commercial hit for Marvel and Netflix landing on several ‘best of’ lists for 2015 — including a spot in our top five — for the top shows of the past year.
Jessica Jones follows the exploits of a former almost superhero who was granted powers as a young girl before she is tormented for years by a man named Kilgrave, who can control her every thought and every action before she finally escapes. When Jessica returns home to Hell’s Kitchen in New York, she opens her own private investigation company but the damage done by being Kilgrave’s personal slave has taken its toll and she’s still trying to climb back to remember exactly who she used to be.

The first season of Jessica Jones was a binge watching experience if there ever was one with excellent performances turned in by Krysten Ritter, Rachael Taylor, Carrie Anne-Moss and especially David Tennant, who wowed as evil mastermind Kilgrave.
Marvel has been very successful through the first two series they released on Netflix with both Daredevil and Jessica Jones becoming hit shows. Daredevil will return for season 2 on March 18 and the next series up will be Luke Cage — based on a character who first debuted during Jessica Jones season 1.
