Judy Greer — best known for her roles in ‘Jurassic World’, ‘Ant-Man’ as well as the television series ‘Married’ on FX — is in early talks to join the cast of the upcoming ‘Halloween’ sequel from Danny McBride and David Gordon Green.

Greer is reportedly in talks to play Karen Strode — the daughter of Laurie Strode — who is played by Jamie Lee Curtis as she also returns to the ‘Halloween’ franchise.

Green is directing the film with a script he co-wrote alongside McBride with original ‘Halloween’ creator John Carpenter on board as an executive producer as well as a consultant for the movie.

The new ‘Halloween’ film will serve as a sequel to ‘Halloween II’, which came out in 1981, while ignoring all the other sequels in the franchise that came afterwards.
