It looks like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 aka Out of the Shadows is fully embracing the comic book version of the characters with the new trailer….
Well, no one was expecting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows to win any major awards but the upcoming movie from Michael Bay looks to fully embrace the popular cartoon version of the characters if this new trailer is any indication.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows pits the turtles up against a whole slew of new threats including Rocksteady and Bebop, who appear on screen for the first time, along with Krang — who cartoon fans will remember is the literal brains behind the operation, who is stuck inside the stomach of a giant robot that gives him the ability to walk, talk and apparently spin.
For nostalgia reasons alone, I’ll say this — the new trailer looks kind of fun.
That being said, the last Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was the first film I considered walking out on in years so how this sequel will improve upon the original remains to be seen but there’s at least one positive — it really can’t get much worse.
