A pivotal role has been cast for season 2 of Marvel’s ‘Agents of SHIELD’ with veteran actor Kyle MacLachlan joining the cast…
One of the biggest mysteries during the debut season of Marvel’s ‘Agents of SHIELD’ was the question about who were Skye’s parents? The hacker turned agent was classified at one point as an ‘0-8-4’ which meant she had some kind of special, unidentifiable abilities, but she was left at an orphanage as a kid and there weren’t many records pointing back to her true parentage.
Now it appears at least one piece of the puzzle has fallen into place with the casting of Kyle MacLachlan for season 2 as he will play Skye’s father according to TVLine.
While MacLachlan’s role hasn’t been announced, what we do know so far is that he will play Skye’s father, but the actual identity of that character remains a mystery. Will he be a major player in the Marvel universe or somebody created just for the show?
That remains to be seen, but MacLachlan has taken on the role for season 2 although there’s no word on how many episodes he will appear in during the year.
Marvel’s ‘Agents of SHIELD’ returns to ABC this fall.
