The final season of ‘The Leftovers’ has a debut date, new images and a trailer and it’s clear the end is near…
‘The Leftovers’ has never been the happiest show on television and it doesn’t appears that’s going to change ahead of the final season, which will officially debut on April 16 on HBO.
The series developed by Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta that picks up after 2-percent of the world’s population has just disappeared without any reason whatsoever will relocate to Australia this season with the same cast of characters closing out the critically acclaimed show during the third and final season.
On Tuesday, HBO released new images and a teaser trailer, which you can see below as well as a synopsis for the upcoming final season of ‘The Leftovers’:
This season finds the Garvey and Murphy families coming together as they desperately grasp for a system of belief to help better explain that which defies explanation. The world is crackling with the energy of something big about to happen, a corresponding bookend to the Sudden Departure that sent them all spinning years earlier, bringing their journey Down Under.
The new teaser poster obviously leaves a rather grim outlook on ‘The Leftovers’ when the show returns in April.
And here is the teaser trailer set to the music of “Don’t Worry Baby” by The Beach Boys.
Stay tuned to Nerdcore Movement all season long for recaps during the final season of ‘The Leftovers’.
