Find out who will be going after Wolverine when ‘Logan’ opens in theaters on March 3, 2017…
After maintaining secrecy surrounding ‘Logan’ — the third solo Wolverine movie and final film in the role for Hugh Jackman — a ton of information has leaked out over the past week.
First the title was revealed and details about the plot that finds Logan in the year 2024 with a much different world surrounding him than the one we last left from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’.
Now the main villain for the movie has bene revealed after Warner Bros. released a photo of Boyd Holbrook — best known for his role on ‘Narcos’ — with a caption underneath that just read “Pierce”.
That name references Donald Pierce — a family villain from the X-Men universe — who is a member of the Hellfire Club, but actually exists as a genocidal mutant hater, who is out to destroy the race once and for all. Pierce is also a cyborg and later creates his own cyborg army called ‘The Reavers’.
Now there’s no telling how Pierce will be portrayed in ‘Logan’ but The Wrap revealed a few more details about the movie including information about the little girl who is clasping onto Logan’s hand in the official movie poster.
According to the report, Pierce place the head of security for a shadowy organization responsible for the original Weapon-X program that created Wolverine and now years later they are trying to duplicate the process with this little girl better known as X-23.
As of now, it doesn’t appear Mr. Sinister — a villain that was teased for this film — will be showing up in ‘Logan’ but that doesn’t mean he won’t make an appearance in the post credits scene that will undoubtedly take place.
‘Logan’ will open in theaters on March 3, 2017.
