Originally it was rumored that the mischievous yet lovable god Loki would not be appearing in “The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” but it appears a well kept secret has slipped out….
We’re still six months away from the opening of “The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” (May 1, 2015 to be exact) but with a new trailer out there (which is awesome), the movie is becoming the talk of the town these days.
So it was a bit of a surprise that one of the actors broke ranks and revealed at least a small spoiler for the film recently. Idris Elba — who played Asgardian Heimdall in the two Thor movies — is returning for at least a brief appearance in the new Avengers movie alongside Tom Hiddleston aka Loki.
“I’m in Avengers,” Elba told the Telegraph in England. “And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki).”
Rumors persisted for months that Loki wouldn’t be appearing in the upcoming Avengers sequel but it seems ideas have changed or it was just a big fat secret that wasn’t supposed to come out.
Don’t expect either actor to make a major impact in the film outside of potentially setting up Thor 3: Ragnarok, which will open on July 28, 2017 with Hiddleston back to co-star in the feature.
Either way, Loki will be in “The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron” and that’s definitely a good thing!
