Lucifer fans can rejoice as the devilish series has been renewed for a 10 episode season 4 on Netflix…
Lucifer fans made a lot of noise and Netflix was listening.
After the cult TV series was cancelled by FOX just recently, fans of Lucifer went on a very public campaign to try and save the show with hopes that a streaming service might pick up the show for at least one more season.
On Friday, Netflix came to an agreement with Warner Bros. television to bring back Lucifer for a 10 episode fourth season on the streaming giant.
The Tom Ellis led drama based on characters from the DC Universe wasn’t a ratings giant but the show maintained a very loyal fanbase while receiving positive reviews from critics. FOX ultimately opted out of the series as they began plotting the course for fall 2018 with the majority of the company’s assets expected to be sold to Disney in the near future.
Lucifer fans refused to give up on the series and now Netflix will resurrect the show for at least one more season, although there could definitely be more depending on the popularity of the show once it returns.
